Ali Vehbi Güneysu
About Me...
I’m Ali, a Computer Science graduate from Sabancı University and an MSc Cyber Security graduate from the University of Kent, where I completed my degree with Distinction and received the iCSS MSc Cyber Security Prize for achieving the best overall performance in the programme.
My main focus is offensive security, and I enjoy working on challenging problems around system exploitation and secure architectures. My core skill set includes penetration testing, malware analysis, and reverse engineering, supported by a strong software engineering background.
I continuously develop my skills through real-world practice, platforms like Hack The Box and TryHackMe, and by building my own cybersecurity tools, from LLM-assisted scanners to custom proxies and experimental detection systems.
Outside of security, I enjoy game development, especially designing small prototypes and mechanics in Unity as a creative outlet.
My Experiences
-I have worked as Software Engineer position for 7 months (Intern + Part-time) in Baykar Technology. We worked as a team to develop interfaces for UAV. I have developed my programming skills and learnt to use various inter-proccess communication (IPC) methods.
-I was an intern in Pixel Soft Office for two months. I mostly worked on website backend services while I was in this internship. I learnt a lot of things from it, like using SQL in advanced and dynamic ways as a database and using C# for API.
